Some people who look for bedding or beds will come across full size choices. These beds are larger than a twin bed but small compared to a queen. Full beds measure 54×75 inches, and full-sized mattresses are also called doubles. Now, that may seem not difficult when it comes down to making the decision, on regardless of whether to purchase this size bed. Many aspects will help influence that final decision. You should know whom the bed is going to be used by, if it is not for you, and above all know the size of the area where the bed will be placed.

If you’re a parent and are remodeling a child’s room, a full size bed is a great alternative. Let’s say your children decide to make the transition into adolescence and a twin bed seems to be getting a bit too small, then a double bed is a great option. They can be placed on a platform with wheels and can be called a trundle. Double size beds with trundle are very fun and simple to turn around. It is considered a loft bed when the platform, base or frame of your bed is suspended from the ceiling or raised high enough to fit a desk underneath. Regardless of which way you use it, a double size bed is practical, larger than a twin bed, and will allow your kids to have lots of room to sleep and move around in comfortably for the next few years.

However for those who have little ones that share a room and what you really are considering is a bunk bed, then be happy to know that we now have different kinds of bunkbeds which include a full size bed on the lower level. Using a bunk with a double bed on the bottom, will give your kids the space they are accustomed to. Not to mention that you, as a parent will feel good knowing that, the older kid will sleep in a relaxed manner and be able to grow into that bed. And, if that is not enough, a double bed can host someone or a relative during a sleep over. That’s one idea, your kids will love.

But, young kids are not the only ones that can enjoy the use of the double bed. For instance, if your little one is a college student who has decided to move out of the dorm and share a condo off campus, he or she may want a larger bed. Yet, their new bedroom space is tight. A full-sized bed is the solution to that problem. Your college age kid will be able to have the comfort desired with moving off campus. In the end, sharing an apartment or sharing a home while going to college, not just provides freedom but also the responsibility of being a young adult. And helping them make the decision to acquire the Full-sized bed is an upgrade from the extra long double beds from a college dorm and gives them a larger sense of independence. They are a step closer in every aspect, to being grown ups, and a full-sized bed is a shy bit away from the grown up beds.

So, no matter which one is your situation, do know that we now have options for making your children’s sleep more comfortable as they grow and mature into adulthood.
